In 1985 she embarked on a 17-year career in high technology. Retiring from Nintendo gaming during 2002.

Today, Alix and her husband live and work in the lakeside community of Kirkland. She commits all her time to personal pursuits including watercolor, community activities and boating in the Pacific Northwest.

She is a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and Eastside Association of Fine Arts.

Alix started painting home portraits to preserve memories of older homes in Kirkland. Her first home portrait was a gift to a friend and neighbor, from this gift her commissions grew as word of her capabilities spread. When she is not working on a home portrait commission she enjoys painting landscapes, nature and exploring the world of Egg Tempera painting.
