E. Valentine Dewald IIMedium: Printmaking E. Valentine DeWald II is a Redmond-based artist. He has a BFA from USD in painting and photography. He is currently attending printmaking classes under the tutelage of Ellen Rutledge at Kirkland Arts Center, and is concentrating primarily in the mezzotint printmaking process. His print subject matter has been primarily equine in nature. The mezzotint process, born around 1642, is a tonal engraving process performed with just hand tools on copper plate. No acid is involved. |
