I have been a sailor, ski instructor and
gardener in the Northwest for more than 30 years. While
taking photographs and plein-air painting on the water,
in the mountains and in my yard, art has become for me
the meeting place of the trees, earth, rain, snow and
sun. I am drawn to the outdoors and nature. I feel whole
when I spend part of the day outdoors. This is my love.
I do not know where I am going, but I continue to be on
my way and the windows are opening to help me understand
my life symbols and energy and how I am going to impose
them on my work.
My Giclée limited edition prints are a result of my
plein-air painting and provide me a way to share my gift
with others.
I have received awards in several international and
national art exhibitions, and have been the featured
artist at numerous one-woman shows, art galleries,
museums and web sites throughout the United States. My
paintings are included in private, corporate and public
collections, and in the recently published book,
Images of America, Snoqualmie Pass.
The Northwest Watercolor Society, The Women Artists of
the West and The Women Painters of Washington have
recognized my work and added me to their exclusive lists
of signatory members.
