I am a soft pastel artist. I work in pastels because I love drawing, and pastels are such a direct medium. I have been taking classes at KAC and painting in soft pastels for three years. Color and composition are foremost in my mind when I plan my landscapes and still lifes. My subjects must entice me. I always loved art; I led the volunteer art docent program at Peter Kirk Elementary, and taught art in my sons' classes. My degree is in graphic design from Kent State.
