Elizabeth Kincaid is the author of
"Paint Watercolors That Dance With Light" published by North Light Press in 2004.

 

Elizabeth earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Washington and worked for a number of years in that field. She was graphic designer for South Seattle Community College and did freelance illustration. She has taught watercolor classes and workshops privately in her home studio, now in Kirkland, as well as at the Santa Cruz Art League, in Kona, Hawaii, in Langley, WA, Tulare, CA, Victoria, BC, and Spokane, WA. She has given a demo at Daniel Smith Art Supply in Seattle and Redmond. She teaches watercolor at the Kirkland Arts Center and is currently teaching in her home studio. In the past 16 years, Elizabeth has sold over 400 paintings.

 

They are in many private and corporate collections. She is a member of Women Painters of Washington and a signature member and past treasurer of the Philadelphia Water Color Club.

She has been represented by The Gallery at Centerville in Wilmington, DE (solo shows in 1991 and 1994), The Studio gallery in Swarthmore, PA (a solo show in 1992), and the Museo Gallery in Langley, WA (solo shows every year from 1994 to 2002). In 2006-2007, she was featured artist in the Windermere Gallery, Kirkland, WA.
Kincaid has recently moved back to the Northwest after living for five years in Pennsylvania and Maryland and ten years in Soquel, California. She has set up a studio and classroom in her new home in Kirkland and is currently looking for new students. She paints a variety of subject matter in water-color, including flowers, birds, animals, and landscapes. Working in a realistic style that is strongly graphic and impressionistic, she builds paintings from many thin glazes of brilliant and luminous color.
