Joan Mamelok has been a printmaker for six years, after spending ten years as a ceramic artist. She creates monoprints, layering shellac, wood, and collograph plates to create dimension. Much of her work is abstract and conveys movement. Joan likes to play with color, finding unusual combinations. She teaches Introduction to Monoprints at Kirkland Arts Center.
