Nature inspires my creativity in clay, and my work reflects that. I create both functional ceramics and sculptural pieces. I work exclusively as a hand-builder, preferring the slow, exploratory process of developing an idea as I'm actually forming and shaping the clay. I use slab, coil, pinch, and molding techniques, and fire most of my work in the low-fire temperature range, which allows the use of glazes that fire to bright, vivid colors.
